Restoran Makanan Laut Thong Lok - Tanjung Tualang, Perak

On one of the sunny Saturday morning, we took a drive from SS2 to Kampar, Perak. From Kampar, we drove along the coastal road until we reached Gopeng then Batu Gajah and finally Tanjung Tualang, just following the road signs. The journey took us 3 hours...

We have a few recommended seafood restaurant and we decided to give Thong Lok Restaurant a try. We ordered 3 dishes as we intended to keep our stomach half-filled so that we can continue eating other stuffs later during the trip.

Freshwater Prawns cooked in Chinese Rice wine @ RM58/kg - Very succulent, juicy, fresh and meaty prawns cooked in exquisite Chinese rice wine. This cooking style maintained the natural flavours of the prawns. Must try!

Special Taufu with Thai sauce @ RM6.00 - Crispy outside and yet soft inside, very unqiue texture and one of the best tasted so far!

Salted egg Crab @ RM35/kg - Unique taste of sweet and salty crispy batter covering the crab shell. This is something different from the Klang Valley version of Salted Crab.

A very relaxing scenery taken at Westlake Homes area in Bandar Baru Kampar, nearby UTAR. It reminded me of Sunderland in UK...maybe.
