Day trip to Awana, Genting Highlands

As the weather is too hot and dry, we decided to drive up to Genting Highlands, just to cool down and catch some cool breeze up at the peak. After satisfied and enjoyed the "cooling effect", we had our dinner in Awana Resort. This time, we tried Korean food...at Bee Won Restaurant, dubbed "The Food & Beverage People's Choice".

We quickly ordered some recommendations as we could not resist the colourful dishes diplayed in the menu. Here comes the appetizer...some how looks like Cantonese dumplings or Zhio Ze.

This dish is called Jjin Man Doo, costs RM12.00 for 12 pieces...nice to eat by lightly dipping it in soy sauce.

Similar to conventional Korean cuisine style, we were also served with a variety of side dishes...and most of the side dishes taste good.

Wow, this dish looks hot and spicy...but once in your mouth, the flavour and taste enhanced our appetite. Not so hot and spicy as it may look...Yook Kae Jang costs RM20.00 per bowl.

Finally, the main course, Bulkogi Jun Sik, costs RM30.00, with generous portion of sweet and juicy beef stri-fried with onions, garlic and spring onion. Very tasty and best to eat in wraps of Romaine Lettuce, a bit of Korean miso paste, chili and raw garlic. What a unique taste...

We ended our dinner with a cup of Korean ginseng tea (RM3.00) and a plate complimentary watermelon cuts.
